Artist statement:
Recalling days of my youth and including the issues we face today I use everyday objects to create awareness of family, violence, and deep felt emotions while incorporating references of history and ceremony.
I have been working for the last seven years in ceramics and mixed media. My concepts have evolved to evoke emotions without background context. However, once a viewer discovers the context, they may have a totally different perspective.
